Given 5x + 2y = 10 and x + 8y = 46
By solving we get x = - 6/19 and y = 110/19
Now 3x + 5y
= 3( - 6/19) + 5(110/19)
= - 18/19 + 550/19
= 532/19
= 28 (ans)
